When Eugene resident Ed Lusch encountered the lifelike renderings of illustrator Ron Pittard in a guidebook of western game fish, he was inspired to put those detailed images to work in a new business venture. In 1978, Windsor Publications Inc. was born, selling a single product, a poster of Western Gamefish, featuring 31 fish drawn with exquisite clarity by Pittard. Sales soon outgrew predicted numbers. Surprisingly, the poster was especially popular in the eastern United States. As a result Pittard was commissioned again, this time to illustrate a second poster, Warmwater Gamefish, which might have even more appeal in the eastern states. From the beginning, Warmwater Gamefish established itself as our top selling product. It is still our top seller today.

Windsor Publications introduced new posters every year, diversifying its product line to include birds, flowers and butterflies. The early nineties saw yearly increases in sales, by which time we had upscaled our volume of posters to about 25 from our original single Western Gamefish concept. Stronger interest and a boom in sales allowed the purchase of Nature Discovery Press, adding to our now bountiful selection of items. Greater selection meant a new name. We became Windsor Nature Discovery, a leading producer of wildlife identification posters, postcards, and gifts.

Today, Windsor Nature Discovery proudly produces a catalog of around 150 items.  Our merchandise is available wholesale, as well as retail, through our website.  In addition, we are happy to offer prints and posters from a variety of other artists and printers through the retail side of our site.  Our posters are also available laminated or framed in oak. We offer key chains, wildlife magnets, individual prints, postcards and more. There's no telling what you might find at Windsor Nature Discovery.
